This function allows you to create a set of questions from a statement, using the OpenAI engine.
This functionality is available in the Base menu, then, in a base, select the “Question generation” section.
Formulate a statement
The statement defines a topic on which the AI will create its questions. So to get questions about the GDPR, you can simply provide the statement “The General Personal Data Regulations”.
Note that turns of phrase like “The subject will be the General Personal Data Regulations” will not contribute anything to the generation, and could even affect its quality. Once the statement has been entered, simply press the 'GENERATE' button and wait for the questions to arrive.
There may be periods of overload on the service. OpenAI which occasionally lead to significant delays, or even generation failures.
Once the generation is started, the questions appear one after the other and are displayed with several possible actions.
You can then add these questions to your database in (draft or active state) or delete them.
Validation of questions by a human being
The questions generated will be the result of ChatGPT, ExperQuiz is not responsible for the quality of these questions. It is of course appropriate to check that the questions and answers proposed are relevant and correct before including them in your questionnaires.
It is always possible to modify the questions created by the automatic generation, to correct any imperfections.
The artificial intelligence will probably be less relevant on subjects whose data was not part of its learning bases, in particular:
-
Recent current affairs topics, the learning bases being fixed over time
-
Or subjects inaccessible to the general public.
Refine question generation
Whether for the reasons mentioned above, or simply to get questions closer to what you want, the solution lies in improving the wording. A more precise statement must be provided to improve or guide the generation.
To return to the example of the statement 'Antarctica', if we actually wanted questions focused on the flora of Antarctica, we could re-specify it like this: 'Flora of Antarctica'.
ChatGPT only receives the statement necessary for generation: no data about your business or yourself is used by OpenAI. Previous utterances are also not used by ChatGPT, there is no memory of requests, so each utterance must be sufficient in itself to generate the questions you want.
Enable feature
To activate features that use artificial intelligence, you must check the “Use AI features” option in the company settings.
In addition to AI based question generation, ExperQuiz offers a groundbreaking feature that automates the correction of open-ended questions, making trainers' work easier!
